Allhallowtide

As we know this Sunday is also All Hallows Eve or Halloween. Monday is All Saint's Day. This is an important day so we celebrate Monday as a solemnity even though it is not a Holy Day OF Obligation this year because it’s TOO HAAAARD to go to Church 2 days in a row…TOOOO HAAAARD!!!!!!. Tuesday is All Souls Day. These three days are collectively called "Allhallowtide." The word "hallow" means "holy."

Martin, "Breaking it Down"
for us

Halloween is also what the Protestants call Reformation Day, a day that marked the beginning of Protestantism and, frankly, the beginning of "Salad Bar" Christianity; on this day, the flatulent Martin Luther nailed the 95 thesis to the door of Wittenberg Church. Most good Lutherans have never read the 95 theses, most of the 95 consist of reform of indulgences, but acknowledge the authority of the Church and the Pope, and confirm the existence of Purgatory. Luther's theology unlike his bowels was quite fluid. So because of Luther, from One Church we now have over 33,800 different Christian denominations worldwide and growing every day. Every time some half educated kook picks up a Bible and finds something there he can latch on to we get a new "Church." Thanks Martin....eat some prunes next time.

Anyhoo, enjoy the secular festivities attached to Halloween, I plan to give out rocks to round headed kids in badly made ghost costumes who stop by, …but remember it is one of the three important “feasts” in the Satanic Calendar; All Hallows Eve, Walpurgisnacht, and Candelmas eve (February 2nd). The Wicca “Religion” is deluding itself when it says it is simply a religion of nature. If you doubt this I suggest you consult the writings of the late Satanist Alistair Crowley the founder of modern Wicca. Remember, the Devil’s greatest victory was to convince mankind, including deluded Wiccans, he doesn't exist. Anyway, before you go out trick or treating (I particularly like the Reese’s Peanut Butter Cups BTW), you may want to say a little prayer to Mike:

PRAYER TO ST. MICHAEL
Composed by Pope Leo XIII

Saint Michael the Archangel, defend us in the battle; be our safeguard against the wickedness and snares of the devil. May God rebuke him, we humbly pray and do thou, O Prince of the Heavenly Host by the power of God, cast into hell Satan and all the evil spirits who prowl through the world seeking the ruin of souls. Amen
